Boat Box System Xtroller V2: Understand everything about its installation
The Boat Box System Xtroller V2 is a portable lithium-ion power unit for Electric motor power supply. This lithium battery is one of the most reliable and the most used by the most experienced fishermen in France. It ensures unbeatable autonomy and incomparable lightness compared to a lead battery. For those interested in purchasing a Boat Box System Xtroller V2 lithium battery, here is a guide to understand everything about its use.
First of all, let's remember what your Boat Box System Xtroller V2 package consists of when you buy it:
- A portable power unit (battery)
- A charger
- A Anderson SB50 connector additional
- Two 10mm² metal crimp terminals
Connections, branching and starting of the Boat Box System Xtroller
Below are the different steps to follow in order to connect, connect and start your BBS lithium battery:
- Start by crimping the 2 metal terminals on the cable of your electric motor using a 10mm2 pliers.
Another possible solution is to crimp the metal lugs using a multigrip pliers. This is available in all DIY stores and supermarkets. (see photo below)
- Insert the two lugs into the supplied SB50 connector. WARNING : do not be mistaken in the polarity
- Pull the metal cable from the black central block of your Boat Box System Xtroller V2 to access the battery connector.
- Turn the red power button to the "ON" position
- The engine should now be running
Charging of the Boat Box System Xtroller
- Connect the charger to your BBS battery and the charger to the 230v mains. The charger should light up red on LED1 and LED2 should be green.
- Switch the battery power button to "ON"
- LED2 should switch to red and the fan should start to run. WARNING : 12v10A and 36v20A chargers do not have switches. Only the 12v20A, 24v10A, 24v20A, 36v10A models have it.
- When charging is complete, the right LED should turn green.
Note that chargers are fitted with fuses. They can be skipped in case of electrical problems of the 230v sector. If the fuses are changed, you must replace them with equivalent fuses in terms of size and capacity.
Boat Box System Xtroller battery storage:
The lithium battery should be stored in a dry and ventilated place, in temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees. The ideal charge percentage, when the battery is not operating for several weeks, is between 30% and 50%.
