The Palomar Knot is one of the strongest and most reliable fishing knots for a fisherman. Moreover, it is very easy to make and works with most types of lines.
On the other hand, it is a complicated fishing knot to use on large diameters of wire or small eyelets.
Tie the Palomar knot in pictures
- Make a loop at the level of your line and pass it through the swivel, hook or staple to be connected over a length of about 30cm
2. Make one or two loops, taking care to include your swivel, hook or staple. Make sure you leave enough excess yarn (about 15cm) to be able to do the next step.
3. Pass your swivel, hook or staple through the loop of the excess
4. Tighten the knot, taking care to have it moistened beforehand and cut the excess thread.
