Inch and Foot are units commonly used in the fishing industry to measure the the power of our rods and the length of our lures. Here are a few things to remember about these two measures for anglers.
Inch or Thumb is a unit of measurement for length. 1 inch equals exactly 2.54 centimetres.
Foot or Foot is a unit that also measures length, but on a slightly larger scale. 1 Foot is equivalent to 30.48 centimetres.
The Inch and the Foot are primarily used in everyday life in the United States. They arrived on the market at the same time as lures and rods from abroad: the USA and Japan. Passing all the measures in Inch and Foot made it possible to standardise size scales worldwide. However, we will of course continue to use centimetres and metres as units of length.
